Our Services

We craft and execute research projects with robust methodologies, integrating both qualitative and quantitative approaches to address the multifaceted challenges of sustainable development. Our expertise spans transdisciplinary fields, emphasizing participatory and inclusive research methods that engage local communities and stakeholders in the Sahel.

Our centre designs and delivers educational programs tailored to various audiences: local community members, professionals, and policymakers. These programs aim to build capacity in sustainable transformation and transdisciplinary research design, fostering a deep understanding of the interconnections between human activities and ecological systems.

Specializing in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing, we utilize cutting-edge spatial data analysis to inform research, stakeholders, policymaking, and community-based initiatives. These tools enable the mapping and monitoring of environmental changes, land use patterns, and resource distribution, supporting evidence-based decision-making and sustainable land and natural resource governance.

Leveraging Communication for Development (Comm4D), multimedia production, and artistic expressions, we communicate complex research findings and sustainability issues in accessible, engaging formats. This includes photography, video, music, and theatre to tell compelling stories, raise awareness, and drive stakeholder engagement in transformative actions for the Sahel region.

Conducting thorough impact evaluations is a cornerstone of our approach, assessing the effectiveness and outcomes of sustainable development initiatives. CREATES employs state-of-the-art methods to gather and analyze data, providing critical insights that guide data-driven decision-making, policy formulation, and the scaling of successful practices.

CREATES offers a dynamic space for hosting and facilitating a range of events, including workshops, seminars, living labs, and collaborative activities. Our facilities are designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and mutual learning among researchers, practitioners, and communities.
